Kashmir is experiencing extremely cold weather, with temperatures dropping sharply below freezing.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Srinagar recorded minus 5. 3⁰ C today.
Gulmarg, a skiing destination recorded minus 4⁰C. Pahalgam, a famous place in Kashmir, serves the base camp for Amarnath yatra , recorded a temperature of minus 6.8 degree Celsius.
As per the news sources , Konibal village, near Pampore , recorded the lowest temperature in the Valley at minus 8.5 degree Celsius.
The MeT Department Jammu and Kashmir forecasts isolated coldwave over plains of Jammu and Kashmir region from 17 December to 21st of December.
