Srinagar, Nov 29: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday held a key membership drive meeting here to strengthen the party’s presence in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was chaired by Arif Raja, BJP’s Membership Incharge for Kashmir, along with senior leader Mudasir Wani.
The gathering focused on expanding the party’s reach across the Kashmir Valley, with an emphasis on enrolling new members and engaging existing ones. Leaders also discussed strategies to improve communication and coordination within the party at the district level.
Notable attendees included Adv Sajid Yousuf Shah, Media Incharge for Kashmir; Er Sahil Bashir, Social Media Incharge for Kashmir; Adv Salman, IT Incharge for Kashmir; and several senior party leaders. The meeting was also attended by District Media Incharges, Social Media Incharges, and IT Incharges from various parts of the Kashmir Valley.
During the session, the leaders reviewed the party’s ongoing activities, exchanged insights on grassroots-level engagement, and deliberated on effective ways to mobilize support for the BJP’s vision in the region.
The discussion focused on the importance of effective communication, leveraging digital platforms, and enhancing social media outreach to increase the party’s visibility and engagement with the people. The BJP reaffirmed its commitment to furthering democratic processes and fostering greater participation from the people of Kashmir.
Key highlights of the meeting included a strategic plan to increase party membership through door-to-door campaigns and online registration platforms; improved coordination between the party’s district offices, media, social media, and IT teams to create a more unified outreach effort; and strengthening BJP’s grassroots presence, with particular focus on youth and women’s participation in the political process.
Arif Raja expressed confidence in the success of the membership drive, saying, “The people of Kashmir have shown overwhelming support for the BJP’s policies. This drive will allow more people to join the development narrative that the party is championing across India.”
Mudasir Wani, addressing the gathering, underscored the importance of leveraging digital tools to connect with the younger population of Kashmir and expand the BJP’s influence in the region.
