Jammu, Oct 24: The Fact-Finding Committee established by the Congress Party has summoned all candidates who contested the recent Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to gather feedback on the party’s poor performance.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president, Tariq Hameed Karra will meet with the candidates on Friday to discuss the reasons behind the party’s electoral defeat, the JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma told Rising Kashmir.
The Fact-Finding Committee convened at the JKPCC headquarters in Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu on Thursday which was chaired by Congress working president Raman Bhalla, along with Karra, Sharma and other senior party leaders.
The committee aims to ascertain the causes of the disappointing election results and has also invited public feedback regarding the Congress’s performance, Sharma said.
He said the members of the committee will engage with senior party leaders and grassroots workers to identify underlying reasons for the party’s struggles.
“A comprehensive report will be compiled and submitted to the party’s high command, detailing the various factors contributing to the poor performance and outlining accountability measures,” the spokesperson said.
