Principal Secretary APD reviews progress and achievements of HADP, CAPEX, CSS projects

Jammu, Sept 09: Principal Secretary Shri Shailendra Kumar held a comprehensive review meeting on Monday at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu, evaluated the physical and financial progress of projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), CAPEX budget, and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
The meeting brought together directors, joint directors, provincial heads, scheme heads, and sectoral officers from the Agriculture, Horticulture departments, who presented detailed reports on the achievements and ongoing efforts in agriculture and allied sectors. Attendees included the Mission Director HADP, Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Horticulture Jammu, Director CAD, Director Finance APD, Joint Directors of Agriculture and allied departments, Officials from SKUAST-J, Chief Agriculture and Horticulture officers of all districts of Jammu Divisions, and other relevant officials. The Principal Secretary emphasized the importance of ensuring timely execution and fund utilization under all schemes, while also addressing challenges faced in project implementation.
During the review, the Principal Secretary lauded the significant advancements made under HADP, which has been instrumental in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and improving farmers’ livelihoods. Special attention was given to ensuring that HADP projects align with the overall goal of infrastructure development in the sector. Discussions also centered on CAPEX, HADP, CSS projects, focusing on key flagship schemes like RKVY, ATMA, NFSM, and others aimed at boosting rural prosperity.
The Principal Secretary directed all departments to work in close coordination to meet the set targets for the fiscal year and ensure the benefits reach the grassroots level. He also stressed the need for proper monitoring mechanisms and regular updates on the progress of all projects.
The review meeting concluded with an action plan to expedite the completion of ongoing projects, with a promise to further enhance the agricultural ecosystem in the region.
