Rajouri, Aug 16: A one-day workshop on the new start-up policy was organized by the College of Nursing, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneur development Institute (JKEDI).
The workshop was aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. The event brought together policymakers, industry experts, start-up founders, and investors to explore the policy’s implications and opportunities.
Prof. Akbar Masood Vice Chancellor of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University congratulated the School of Nursing for organizing the workshop.
Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza (JKAS), Registrar of the University presided over the event. In his address he emphasized on the need for more start-ups to address the unemployment. The Registrar applauded the efforts of the School of Nursing and stressed upon such collaborative efforts for the effective implementation of start-up policy.
Dr. Titi Xavier, Associate Dean, SNBS delivered the keynote address. A detailed presentation of the new start-up policy was delivered by Mr. Imtiaz Ahad Malla, Associate project Manager, JKEDI. Earlier, Arshad Ahmad Malik, District Nodal officer, JKEDI, Rajouri highlighted the objectives of New start-up policy for the promotion of entrepreneurship. On the occasion, Ms Ruhaab Mir and Ms Madiha Talat, both the successful entrepreneurs shared their entrepreneurial journey with the students.
The event featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions led by officials of JKEDI.
Those who were present on the occasion included Dr. Malik Mubashir, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology Engineering, faculty and students of College of Nursing.
