Srinagar, 18 Oct: In order to provide a comprehensive first-hand ground experience and knowledge to students, authorities at Kashmir University on Tuesday said that they are enhancing it’s training/ workshop programmes by enlisting the best resources to give students a thorough first-hand understanding and experience of the subjects they are studying

Vice Chancellor Kashmir University Professor Nilofer Khan speaking exclusively to Rising Kashmir on the sidelines of a three-day seminar organized by the Department of Music and Fine Arts at Kashmir University stated that all the departments have been asked to take the measures which are important to give exposure to the students.

“Whether it is Academics, Research, Technology, Art, or any other department, directions have been passed to all Heads of Departments to take the measures that are important for the students so that they get exposure and firsthand experience of the subject they’re studying,” said VC Kashmir University.

In response to a question about the introduction of enhanced informative sessions, workshops, and programmes for students at Kashmir University in addition to the prescribed academic syllabus, she stated that the sessions are very important and that if they get the best resource persons, they will try to accommodate as many students as possible for these sessions.

“Best resource people are approaching us, and with that, we will be taking our students out of their departments to the venues,” Professor Nilofer Khan, VC KU, added. “However, catering to the huge number of students will require more resources, but it is better if we get a good resource person here and students can interact and share their ideas with experts, which will eventually help them in their specializations.”

Notably, Kashmir University has seen a number of student-focused interactive sessions, seminars, workshops, and other programmes since the appointment of Prof. Nilofer Khan as it’s Vice-Chancellor.
