Ganderbal, Dec 10: The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh national highway remained closed for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
Official sources said that traffic on the highway was suspended on Friday due to fresh Snowfall and slippery road conditions particularly at Zojila Pass and Shaitani Nallah.
They said a number of vehicles scheduled to leave to their respective destinations were stranded on both sides of the highway.
According to the reports, the traffic on the highway was affected for the second day due to fresh Snowfall and slippery road conditions at Pani Matha, Mandir Mood, Bajri Nala along Zojila pass.
A Traffic Police sources said that the snow clearance operation was going on at Zojila Pass from Minamarg side. He further said that it was not possible for traffic to ply on the highway today.
