Jammu, Dec 25:  Chairman of Aam Aadmi Party’s state media coordination committee and state spokesperson, Dr. Nawab Nasir on Sunday said that the fresh statement issued by BJP’s Tarun Chugh is another attempt to confuse the scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and to keep stirring uncertainty over demand for holding assembly elections.
Dr. Nawab made this statement during a presser responding to a statement of BJPs Tarun Chug dropping hints of holding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir in first few months of next year.
The AAP leader said that Jammu and Kashmir has been pushed into a state of uncertainty and chaos while BJP has done nothing except creating a situation of uncertainty and confusion among the people in every aspect in order to hide its failures.
“The biggest nuisance confusion sparked by BJP in Jammu and Kashmir is on the name of holding Assembly elections as people in Jammu and Kashmir are demanding polls from past several years but BJP is continuing its proxy rule through LG administration and is unofficially ruling J&K,” Dr. Nawab said adding that rule of BJP is one of the worst in the history of Jammu and Kashmir where public grievances redressal mechanism is on worst low while there is no accountability within the bureaucratic setup for public services delivery system.
“Whenever BJP leaders are asked to hold elections in Jammu and Kashmir, they state BJP leaders are openly discussing the schedule of elections and this shows that BJP is the decision making body for assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir,” Dr. Nawab added.
He said that this fresh statement by BJP’s Tarun Chug is nothing else than another attempt to keep stirring the confusion for assembly elections in J&K and keep befooling the masses.
The AAP leader asked BJP come on record on the topic and to clearly take a decision for elections of assembly in Jammu and Kashmir instead of giving indoor statements which spread further confusion among a common man.
Taking a dig at Election Commission of India, Dr. Nawab Nasir said that Election Commission of India is also responsible for this mess as it is maintaining a complete silence which is further spreading the situation of uncertainty.
“ECI should come forward, clear its stand and make a public announcement regarding the schedule for holding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir so that this uncertainty can come to an end.” Dr. Nawab stated that ECI has already violated a number of norms by delaying assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and this all has been done to support BJP as the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is not conducive for BJP and the party has lost its ground.
