Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday seized 4 Tractors & arrested four persons for being involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals at Dargam Nallah Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said, “A police party led by Incharge Police Post Palhallan under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Shri Mohd Nawaz-JKPS seized 4 vehicles (Tractors) at Dargam Nallah Palhallan and arrested the four drivers on the spot for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The four accused drivers have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat son of Ab Ahad Bhat resident of Palhallan, Irfan Ahmad Malik son of Ab Rehman Malik resident of Hurcheck, Ishfaq Ahmad Hajam son of Ab Hameed Hajam resident of Wanigam Bala and Irshad Ahmad Ganie son of Habibullah Ganie resident of Khumini Baharabad.”
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation has been initiated.
