Chandigarh, May 14: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that his government gave over one lakh jobs while thousands of posts are in process.
“More than 1.04 lakh jobs were given during our tenure, 65,000 jobs in the process,” Manohar Lal said.
Giving details, he said, “More than 1.04 lakh youths got government jobs on merit during the tenure of the present government and apart from this, 65,000 jobs are also under process; while 11 recruitments of the previous government were cancelled. A total of 31 central and state government jobs have also been given in Chormar Khera village.”
The CM also said that the government is constantly working to root out the drug menace from the state. “Taking a big step in this direction, the government has now decided to open drug de-addiction centres across the state. Apart from this, saints and eminent personalities will also be entrusted with the task of running such centres with an aim to guide the youth and bring them on the right path in life,” he said.
The chief minister was interacting with the people during a Jan Samvad programme at Sirsa’s Chormar Khera village on Sunday. He also flagged off the Sirsa-Odhan-Jalalana bus as announced by him following the demand of the locals on Saturday.
He took feedback from the people about the benefits of Ayushman and CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana. On the complaint of a woman regarding the treatment of her child under Ayushman Yojana, the chief minister directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Sirsa, to investigate the matter and resolve the issue pertaining to Ayushman card by getting treatment of the child.
Lal said that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 15.5 lakh families of the state were being covered and further expanding the scope of this scheme, after increasing the income limit from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh; the CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana has been launched. Now 29.5 lakh families of Haryana are being covered under Ayushman and Chirayu Haryana Yojana. For this, the state government has made a provision of about Rs 500 crore, he added.
He informed that 69 people in Chormar Khera village have availed the benefits under the Ayushman Yojana, on which the government has borne the expenditure of about Rs 8 lakh.
During the programme, the girl students of the Government Senior Secondary School, Chormar Khera village, complained about the non-construction of new rooms in the school, on which the Chief Minister said that the government has released the first installment of Rs 70 lakh for construction of rooms in the school and it will be completed soon. He directed the District Education Officer for making a temporary arrangement of four rooms till the new rooms are not constructed.
Meanwhile, on the problem of a widow not having a house, the Chief Minister assured that the house would be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The Chief Minister also took feedback from the people regarding the Dial-112 service. He said that in the last eight-and-a-half years, the state government has brought many radical changes by implementing various public welfare schemes to provide benefits to the last mile person.
