Jammu, April 06: Shashvat Art Gallery in collaboration with Ministry of Culture and Women Welfare organization, Jammu Thursday organised “Duggar cultural event-cum Exhibition” in the premises of Environmental Education Institute, Jullaka Mohalla.
Former Minister and senior BJP leader Priya Sethi was the chief guest of the function. State Vice-president Yudhvir Sethi was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion Priya Sethi congratulated the organizers for organising such a gala event for the promotion of Duggar art and culture.
“We need to preserve our rich culture in the form of miniature paintings, manuscripts, folk songs, folk dances and various other cultural performing forms which have been handed over to upcoming generation,” she added.
Sethi in her address also said that their culture is most powerful tool to presenting our tangible and intangible wealth of heritage.
Earlier President Women Welfare Organization Usha Anand welcomed the chief guest, guests of honor, special invitees, parents of the children and other guests.
Prominent Dugger folk artists presented a very nice mega cultural show which included folk songs, folk dances of Dogri, Punjabi and Gojri languages. The students of the school also presented various cultural items.
