Ganderbal, July 22: In a commendable display of their commitment to both security and social welfare, the 13 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Dignibal organized a series of impactful programs in Shuhama Village of Ganderbal district.
The recent held on Saturday, witnessed the participation of distinguished guests, including Nuzhat Jabbar, DDC Chairperson Ganderbal, and Seikh Isfaq Jabbar, Ex. MLA. A large number of villagers from Shuhama, Warpoh, Dignibal, and Bakura also attended the program.
The day kicked off with a Plantation Drive, conducted as part of the national Plantation Drive Campaign. Numerous saplings were planted by Nuzhat Jabbar, DDC Chairperson, and Seikh Isfaq Jabbar, Ex. MLA Ganderbal, along with Kamal Kant, Commandant, 13 Bn SSB Dignibal, and enthusiastic villagers.
Following the green initiative, a captivating Cultural Exchange Programme under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav took place. SSB personnel and local villagers showcased their cultural talents through various performances, including Bhagara Dance, Marathi Dance, Kashmiri (Gojari) Dance, and more, fostering a sense of unity and celebration among the participants.
The highlight of the day was the Medical and Veterinary Civic Action (MCA/VCA) Programme, part of the Civic Action Programme. The Chief Guest inaugurated this initiative, and during the event, numerous people and animals received free medical assistance and essential medicines provided by the doctors and paramedic staff of 13 Bn SSB Dignibal.
Both Nuzhat Jabbar and Seikh Isfaq Jabbar praised the efforts of the SSB in organizing such community-oriented programs. They expressed their appreciation for the organization’s dedication to the welfare of the local populace and emphasized the significance of fostering a strong bond between the security forces and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Commandant of 13 Bn SSB, Kamal Kant, expressed his gratitude to all the participants, especially the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, for their presence and support. He reassured the attendees that the SSB would continue to serve the people with the core principles of “Service, Security, and Brotherhood” while actively involving the local community in their initiatives.
