Srinagar, Oct 24: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (PC) President Sajad Gani Lone conducted an extensive tour of the Handwara Constituency on Tuesday and interacted with dedicated party workers. He also addressed numerous gatherings of local residents.
During his visit, the PC President visited Punzwa, Hurdoona, Hangnikoot, Tumima and Drugmulla where he engaged with local residents and PC supporters, the party said in a statement.
Notably, in a significant show of support, over 50 families formally joined the PC in Hurdoona, Ramhal, the statement said.
In his address to the people, Lone voiced his deep concern over the “historical neglect” that the Kupwara region has endured under previous administrations and governments. Sajad said that during his brief tenure in power, he actively initiated and facilitated projects aimed at securing a prosperous future for the people of Kupwara for generations to come.
He made a solemn pledge that if the PC came to power, the development and prosperity of district Kupwara would be the party’s “foremost priority”.
