Srinagar, Jun 15: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra on Sunday urged the External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar to ensure the evacuation of J&K students from conflict-hit Iran.
Amid escalating tensions and volatile situations in Iran, Karra urged the MEA to prioritise the safety of J&K students and provide them with comprehensive support.
The government must ensure their swift and secure return home at the earliest, he said..
“I am aware of the worries of parents and relatives of people, especially students currently studying in Iran, and hope that MEA will take urgent measures to bring them back at the earliest,” the J&K Congress chief added.
