BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh launched a scathing attack on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the Congress party.
Addressing the media after attending the BJP’s state-level organizational workshop in Jammu, Chugh accused Omar Abdullah of playing the “victim card” instead of fulfilling his electoral promises. He alleged that Omar was spreading confusion rather than working for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Chugh also targeted the Congress party and the INDIA alliance, accusing them of attempting to undermine the constitutional reservation rights championed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
“Rahul Gandhi and his alliance partners want to end the reservation system enshrined in the Constitution. The BJP will never let the rights of Dalits, backward communities, and hill tribes be taken away,” Chugh said.
He emphasized that the reservation granted to the hill tribes by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a historic step. “The BJP will ensure that this reservation remains intact. It is a significant initiative for the hill community, and we are committed to safeguarding it,” he stated.
Chugh further accused the Congress of consistently disrespecting Dr. Ambedkar and his contributions. “Throughout its history, Congress has only insulted Dr. Ambedkar. They ignored his ideas, dismissed his struggles, and even forced him to resign from the cabinet.
Today, these same Congress leaders are shedding crocodile tears. For seven decades, spanning three generations, Congress insulted the architect of the Constitution, and the country will never forget or forgive them for it,” he said.
Highlighting the BJP’s commitment, Chugh said the party has always worked to protect the rights of the underprivileged and backward sections of society.
“Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is reaching new heights of development in every sector. BJP workers remain steadfast in their ideals and continue to work for the betterment of every citizen,” he added.
