Srinagar, Sept 10: Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) and nominated candidate for the Chrari Sharief Assembly constituency, on Tuesday reaffirmed his party’s commitment to safeguarding the constitutional and democratic rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
During a roadshow from Krimshora to Gudsuthoo, Hakeem addressed public gatherings, during which he said the restoration of statehood and the preservation of the dignity and demographic identity of Jammu & Kashmir remain the PDF’s core mission. “My party will fight to protect the rights of the people concerning their land, natural resources and employment,” he said
The former minister assured the public that his primary focus would be on the comprehensive development of the Gudsuthoo area, which, he said, has been neglected by previous governments. He said there is an urgent need for better road infrastructure, as well as improvements in water supply and electricity in the region.
The PDF chief also announced that Gudsuthoo, located near Sheikh ul Alam International Airport, will be developed as a model town. He promised to work towards the upliftment of underserved areas.
