Fatal accident at Zojila Pass: One dead, 5 Injured

Ganderbal, June 10: One person lost his life and five others were injured after a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged down a steep slope near Ranga Morh, Zojila Pass on Monday.
The vehicle, bearing registration number PB01A/4898, lost control at a sharp turn, leading to the tragic accident.
Officials report that the victim, identified as Tarseem Lal, son of Nathu Ram from Gurdaspur, Punjab, was pronounced dead at the scene. The five injured passengers received immediate attention from the Sonamarg Police, Tourist Police, medical teams, and local residents who swiftly responded to the incident.
The injured were initially transported to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Sonamarg for urgent medical treatment.
They were later referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. The current condition of the injured passengers is being assessed.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident.
