Dr Farooq leads celebration meeting for NC’s success in LS elections

Srinagar, June 06: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday presided over a celebratory meeting at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subh here.
Dr Farooq congratulated the two JKNC Members of Parliament (MPs) – Mian Altaf Larvi and Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi – on their stupendous success in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He also congratulated the newly elected MPs of the INDIA bloc across the country and thanked the voters across the country for “standing with the truth”.
The meeting, according to a party statement issued here, was attended by General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, senior leaders AR Rather, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan, Mohammad Shafi Uri, Sharief ud in Shariq, Mubarak Gul, Shameema Firdous, Hasnain Masoodi, Political Advisors, North, South, and Central Zone functionaries, district presidents, constituency incharges, media wing, YNC functionaries and office bearers.
Meanwhile, Dr Farooq and Omar felicitated students who have qualified 12th class JKBOSE examination.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Dr Farooq said, “I wish an exciting and satisfying career to all those who have passed the examination. On this occasion, the respective parents and the teachers of the successful students equally deserve our gratitude and appreciation for their guidance and support to them. Those who couldn’t make it should not feel disheartened. Life is full of opportunities; with hard work and perseverance, they will also make it next time. I wish all the successful candidates a very promising future ahead.”
While felicitating the successful candidates, Omar Abdullah prayed for a bright future for all the successful students. “I hope that they continue to strive towards achieving excellence in whichever field they choose to continue their further studies,” he said.
