Jammu, Nov 16: Terming statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding restoration of statehood as disheartening and confusing for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, AamAadmi Party’s (AAP) state media incharge and state spokesperson, Dr.Nawab Nasir Wednesday asked BhartiyaJanta Party to restore statehood of Jammu and Kashmir before Assembly elections and also to hold elections at the earliest so as to restore democratic setup.
He said that BJP is deliberately delaying assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir amid fear of backlash of its “anti-people” policies and failure of its proxy government.
In a press statement issued by the J&K State media committee in-charge and state spokesperson, Dr.Nawab Nasir, he said that Union Home minister Amit Shah issued a statement regarding restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir in which he mentioned about restoration of statehood after assembly elections.
“This statement of Union Home Minister is disheartening for the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are expecting earliest restoration of statehood,” Dr.Nawab said.
Dr.Nawab further asked BJP Government to restore statehood in Jammu and Kashmir before holding assembly elections so that a state of confusion among the masses can come to an end.
He also opined that BJP should hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest so that democracy can get restored and a people elected government assumes office which is immediate need of hour for redressal of public grievances and restoration of democratic setup.
He said that AAP is all set to turn tables of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir and people in next assembly elections will elect people centric government of the AamAadmi Party.
