Jammu, Dec 10: Apni Party Provincial President Women Wing Jammu, Pavneet Kour has raised concern over the unscheduled electricity cuts in Jammu during the winter season that has put normal life out of gear.
As per a press release, a meeting was organized by District President Women Wing Jammu Urban, Ritu Pandita at ward number 55 in Jammu.
In this meeting, the issues of the above-mentioned wards were discussed threadbare by the participants who expressed their faith in the Apni Party’s equitable developmental agenda.
Kour also expressed concern over the unscheduled power cuts saying these “have affected normal life, especially during the winter season and the people are getting huge electricity bills”. She demanded that the electricity consumers should be provided 24/7 electricity and waive off the electricity charges to the poor families.
She said that the Apni Party believes that the people should not be overburdened with the electricity charges and relief should be provided to them by the government.
Pavneet said the Apni Party has committed to providing 500 units of free electricity in Jammu during summer and 300 units during winter season.
“The party aims to enhance up to 1 lakh rupees and provide marriage assistance within the shortest time to the women belonging to financially poor families. The Apni Party has also committed in its agenda to provide free cooking gas cylinders to each poor family per year under the Ujjawala Scheme,” she added.
