Bandipora, March 05: Jammu and Kashmir National People’s Front on Sunday launched the first phase of UT’s wide-ranging campaign against drug menace and substance abuse in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sanjay Kumar, Patron of the JKNPF party, stated that various programmes will be implemented in the UT to combat the drug problem while speaking to reporters at the launching of the anti-drug Campaign.
He said that the party was devoted to resolving the issue of the drug menace, which has had a particularly detrimental effect on the youth of society, and that they would be adhering to a policy of zero tolerance.
President JKNPF Sheikh Muzafar expressed his pleasure with the turnout and support from the local community for the walkathon they organized, citing it as a strong message to the community that they will not stand for the issue of drug addiction.
He declared that JKNPF has been energetically striving to spread understanding of the risks of drug dependence.
Muzafar further said that the party is designed to give people an opportunity to present their addiction stories and to provide them with necessary assistance and resources to help them overcome it.
District President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party and Organiser of the programme Yasir Saleem Malik stated that the anti-drug campaign initiated by their party was not for electoral purposes, but to address the social problem that has been plaguing the society.
