Srinagar, July 20: National Dairy Development Board sponsored Pashu Sakhi participants under A-Help programme organized by Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-K were flagged off for exposure visit cum hands on training programme by Director Extension, SKUAST-K Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi on Thursday.
Non-government organization persons present on the occasion were Director Surya Envirotech (OPC) Pvt Ltd, Mr. Milind Joshi and Director ISDS Foundation, Mr. Arshad Tanvir Khan. At the occasion, Prof Makhdoomi said that exposure tour will continue for four days to Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Shuhama and to MLRI Manasbal on 21st July.
The exposure tour is for 50 rural girls from all districts of Kashmir valley which started from 11th July, 2023 for 17 days and the training is going on at Directorate of Extension in collaboration with NDDB.
In this training programme Pashu Sakhis were given training on breeding, nutrition, feed and fodder, vaccination of sheep and goat so that these trainees will disseminate the latest technologies under the different flagship programmes. It is mandatory to organize exposure tour of the trainees to different institutes and stations of SKUAST-K to promote their knowledge and skill for the benefit of farming community.
