Srinagar, July 8: In a poignant tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Martyr Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Humayun Muzammil Bhat, the Youth Civil Society Kashmir, in collaboration with the Handwara Police, is set to host the ‘Josh-e-Watan’ Volleyball Championship, commencing today (Wednesday), at the Indoor Sports Stadium Handwara.A statement issued here said that the championship will feature eight volleyball teams from across the Kashmir Valley, including athletes of national repute. The event seeks not only to commemorate the bravery of the fallen officer but also to foster a spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and youth engagement. This initiative exemplifies the shared commitment of civil society and law enforcement agencies towards promoting constructive youth involvement through sports, while keeping alive the memory of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty. The youth of the region are warmly invited to attend and participate, ensuring the event’s resounding success and reinforcing the message of national pride and remembrance.
