MLA Hazratbal questions halted construction of PHC Burzahama

Srinagar, Mar 06: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Hazratbal, Salman Sagar on Thursday raised an important question in the Assembly regarding the long-pending construction of PHC Burzahama, which was halted due to objections from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
In response, the government acknowledged that the construction was stopped as the site falls under ASI jurisdiction. However, it assured that steps are being taken to restart the project at an alternate site.
The government confirmed that efforts are underway to secure land transfer from the Revenue Department and allocate necessary funds for the timely execution of the project.
The initiative aims to address the inadequate healthcare facilities in the area and ensure better medical services for the local population.
