One killed, another injured in Ganderbal accident

Ganderbal, March 3: A tragic accident occurred near the Mir Baba Haider Shrine on Monday, resulting in the death of one individual and leaving another one critically injured.
The incident took place when a car struck two pedestrians, identified as Abdul Rashid Dar, son of Abdul Ahad, a resident of Mesherpora, Tullamulla and Abdul Qayoom Sheikh, son of Ali Muhammad, a resident of New Colony Tullamulla.
Both victims were immediately rushed to the district Hospital in Ganderbal for medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Abdul Rashid Dar succumbed to his injuries. Abdul Qayoom Sheikh is currently undergoing treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
The body of deceased was transported to his home in Tullamulla, where family, friends and neighbours gathered to mourn his untimely demise. The community has expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Abdul Rashid as a kind and respected individual. The police have registered a case and are examining the circumstances that led to the accident.
