New Delhi, Feb 14: In a momentous occasion, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, paid a special visit to the Sharda Peeth stall at the ongoing Sambhaav Utsav today.
Held at Kashmir Bhawan, this ten-day event aims to showcase the rich civilization, culture, and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir to the nation.
Lt. Governor Sinha was warmly welcomed by Ravinder Pandita, founder of the Save Sharda Committee, who presented him with a detailed brochure outlining the history and ongoing struggle of the Sharda Peeth pilgrimage. The Governor expressed his appreciation for the committee’s efforts and even recited a verse dedicated to Mr. Pandita during his address to the audience.
This exhibition marks a significant milestone, being the first such event hosted by Kashmir Bhawan in decades. It has garnered immense interest, attracting thousands of visitors and prominent personalities including K L Ganju, Consul General of the Union of Comoros, public diplomat. Ratan Kaul, and IAS officers Sheetal Nanda, Yasha Moudgil, and Anuradha Rishi.
The evening also witnessed a captivating performance by artists from Padder Kishtwar and other regions of J&K, adding a touch of vibrant cultural expression to the event.
This visit by the Lt. Governor and the overall success of the Sambhaav Utsav highlight the growing efforts to bridge cultural divides and showcase the diverse beauty of Jammu and Kashmir to the wider Indian community.
