Srinagar, Oct 31: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Diwali.
Taking to the microblogging site X, he shared: “Wishing everyone celebrating today a very happy Diwali. May the light of all the lamps fill our lives with good health, happiness, and success.” He expressed his hope that the festival of lights would bring peace and prosperity to every household in the region.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law and Order extended greetings to all ranks of J&K Police, their families and people of the UT on the auspicious eve of festival of lights Diwali.
In his message, the ADGP Vijay Kumar said “Diwali reminds us that we must share joy and happiness with all sections of society”. He said the occasion teaches us to rededicate ourselves in the service of people, reaffirm our commitment towards brotherhood and selfless service to humanity. He prayed for peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanhwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir extended warm Diwali greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, including the J&K Police Parivaar.
In his message, he expressed hopes that the festival of lights would bring joy, harmony, and prosperity to everyone.
