Jammu, June 21: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra on Friday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of reportedly nine Hajj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir due to a heatwave in Mecca.
“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the victims during this time of immense sorrow,” Sadhotra said in a condolence message. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
The NC leader said the entire Jammu and Kashmir is mourning the deaths of Hajj pilgrims and stands with the bereaved families in their hour of immense loss. He hoped that the Government of India will extend every help and support to the families to cope with the tragedy at this difficult time.
Conveying his condolences to the bereaved families, Sadhorta prayed for peace to the departed souls.
