Srinagar, June 11: Ahead of the Amarnathyatra, Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Suchindra Kumar on Tuesday visited Old Air Field Military Station, Srinagar to review operational preparedness.
Army spokesman said that the Army commander said that Northern Commander visited Old AirField Military Station, Srinagar to review operational preparedness and was briefed on various Counter-UAS tech advancements for combating unmanned aerial threats.
He said that Army Cdr complimented the troops for their operational readiness and exhorted them to maintain a high state of morale.

This year, the yatra will be 52 days long, starting on June 29 and concluding on August 19, and advance registration of pilgrims has already started on April 15.
Meanwhile LG administration is finalizing the arrangements for the Yatra allowed to be set up along the two routes – the shorter one from Baltal base in Ganderbal district or traditional route from Pahalgam.
On June 06, Lt. Gen Suchindra Kumar reviewed the operational preparedness of troops in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district. He was accompanied by the Commanding White Knight Corps.
