Anantnag, May 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania on Thursday addressed multiple meetings in south Kashmir during the conclusion of his election campaign in the Anantnag-Rajouri-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency.
The meetings were held in Nowgam, Veeri Nag, Gohan, Gur Dramman, Kokernag, Pahalgam, and Anantnag, Pathania said in a statement issued here.
Speaking to sector incharges, booth presidents, and senior BJP leaders, Pathania expressed that the people of Kashmir have resolved to eliminate the political influence of NC, Congress, and PDP, who have repeatedly failed to meet the aspirations of Kashmiris.
He criticised these parties for their legacy of unmet promises, resulting in unemployment, bloodshed, and terrorism in the region. “The public is determined to reject these parties, which have relied on misleading narratives and failed to deliver meaningful results,” he said. He attributed the rigged elections of 1987, the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, and numerous other failures to these political entities.
Highlighting the desire for a new era focused on employment, development, and tourism promotion, the BJP spokesperson said, “The people of Kashmir are ready to move beyond the era of bloodshed, unemployment, dynasty politics, and populism. They seek a future where they can achieve their aspirations.”
Pathania urged the National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders to engage in constructive politics and contribute positively to Jammu and Kashmir’s development. He reiterated the BJP’s dedication to the region’s growth and integration with the rest of the country. “The BJP stands for nationalism, democracy, and inclusive development. With a strong presence across the nation, we are committed to upholding the interests of all citizens and promoting India’s prosperity,” he said.
