Srinagar, Jul 01: Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board chairperson and Minister of State, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, visited the Imambara at Zadibal in Srinagar on Tuesday to assess the arrangements and facilities provided to the community during Muharram.She was accompanied by BJP Srinagar District President Advocate Sheikh Salman, Zadibal Constituency President Suhail Ahmad, and Syed Muzaffar Rizvi. During her visit, Dr Andrabi offered prayers at the Imambara and engaged with numerous public delegations, listening to their concerns and suggestions.Addressing the media, the Waqf Board chairperson highlighted the significance of Imam Hussain’s (AS) sacrifice, saying that his martyrdom is “a clear testament that truth ultimately triumphs over evil”.“Imam Hussain (AS) is the everlasting inspiration for all those who sacrifice everything for upholding the flag of truth without any compromise,” Dr Andrabi said, adding that Muharram serves as a bridge for sectarian harmony, fostering unity and brotherhood among communities.
