Jammu, July 02: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has pulled up its socks for the assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. In this regard, an “Extended Executive Meeting” of the party will be held in Jammu.
The BJP National President, JP Nadda, and J&K election incharge, G Krishna Reddy, will be visiting Jammu to chair the meeting.
The ‘Extended Executive Meeting’ of the BJP will be held on July 05 and 06 at the Grand Majestic Hall on Akhnoor Road, a senior BJP leader, wishing to remain anonymous, told Rising Kashmir.
He said, “The main purpose of this hurriedly and out-of-turn called meeting by the high command is to take feedback from the party’s main leaders and ground-level workers about the ground situation, preparations for assembly elections, and to find out the causes for the decline in BJP’s vote share in Jammu.”
J&K BJP Incharge, Tarun Chugh, both MPs of the Jammu region, and some senior leaders of the BJP and RSS have also been invited for the ‘Extended Executive Meeting’.
On July 05, the J&K unit of BJP will hold a meeting, while on July 6, JP Nadda, G Krishna Reddy, Tarun Chugh and other senior leaders of the BJP, including General Secretaries, will preside over the meeting and take feedback from the senior leaders and party workers about preparations for the assembly elections and reasons for the decline in BJP’s vote share, the party leader said.
A total of 1,200 party workers, office bearers and senior leaders of the J&K unit of BJP have been called for the meeting, he added.
