ADDC Kulgam reviews Eid-ul-Adha arrangements

Kulgam, June 07: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Bashir Ahmad Wani on Friday convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements put in place for the upcoming festive occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
During the meeting, the ADDC directed the officers of Jal Shakti and KPDCL to ensure a smooth supply of water and electricity across the district. He also directed the Jal Shakti department to press water tankers in required areas and ensure no shortage of water at any place.
The District Sheep Husbandry Officer informed the chair that adequate numbers of sacrificial animals (Goats/Sheep) are available in the district. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer informed the meeting that adequate numbers of poultry birds are available in the district.
The ADDC passed instructions to intensify market checking to check the quality of food items such as Bakery, Confectionery, Milk, Meat Chicken, Vegetables, and other essentials in the market and ensure the availability of quality products.
Municipal authorities were directed to ensure proper sanitation in towns, masjids, and eidgahs. They were also directed to repair defunct lights in town if any.
On the occasion, the traffic police authorities were asked to ensure smooth movement of traffic. The meeting was attended by ACD, ACP, CMO, Tehsildars, ARTO, EOs, and other officers. The members from the Auqaf committee, the transport and trade association attended the meeting.
