Motorcyclist killed in B’la road accident

Baramulla, Dec 15: A 40-year-old motorcyclist from Hajin Sonawari died in a road accident near Stadium colony, Azad Gunj on Baramulla-Handwara highway Thursday evening.
Police identified the bike rider as Abdul Majeed Najar son of Ali Mohammad Najar, a resident of Hajin Sonawari.
Police said that the biker died on the spot after being hit by a speedy truck near Stadium Colony, Azadgunj area of Baramulla.
“A case has been registered in this regard for due investigations”, police said adding the body will be handed over to the family for the last rites after completion of medico-legal formalities.
They said that the truck driver has been detained and further investigation is going on.
