Defunct x-ray machine in CHC Hajin adds to patients’ woes

Bandipora, Aug 02: The Community Health Center (CHC) in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district has been grappling with a non-functional X-ray machine for several days, causing significant inconvenience to patients.
Local residents told Rising Kashmir that the out-of-order X-ray machine has created numerous difficulties for patients seeking diagnostic services at resulting in patients are compelled to travel to Sumbal for access to X-ray facilities.
Expressing their concerns, the locals have appealed to the Director of Health to intervene promptly and facilitate the resolution of this persistent issue.
They hope that swift action of higher officials will alleviate the suffering of patients in the region.
Meanwhile Block Medical Officer Hajin said that the X-ray machine has been non-functional for several days however the technician responsible for its repair has reportedly taken some essential parts to Chandigarh for mending.
The BMO assured that the X-ray machine is expected to be operational again within the next two to three days.
