Police attach property of terrorist commander in Shopian

Srinagar, May 22: Continuing its efforts to uproot the operating terror network in the valley, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday e attached property of a self-styled terrorist commander in Shopian district of south Kashmir.
A police spokesman revealed that they have attached property of terrorist commander AbidRamzan Sheikh aliasSaifullah alias Khalid who is involved in various terror related cases in Shopian& adjoining districts.
“Accused Abid is involved in instigating budding youth to join terrorist ranks. Police have attached property including land and the partial residential house of this terrorist commander in Shopian district,” he said.
The spokesman said the property of a self-styled terrorist commander AbidRamzan Sheikh aliasSaifullah alias Khalid son of Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh resident of ChotiporaShopian, was attached under the supervision of SSP ShopianTanushree-IPS in collaboration with revenue authorities.
“The property includes 01 kanal& 10 marlas of land under survey No. 1165 situated at ChotiporaShopian and a partial residential house,” he said.
The spokesman said that the said active terrorist is involved in a number of terror related cases in district Shopian as well as its adjoining districts.
“It is pertinent to mention here that the said terrorist is highly involved in instigating/ motivating gullible and budding youth to join the ranks of terrorists. This action became inevitable in view of his continuous involvement in terrorism and spoiling the career of poor, innocent & gullible youth of the area”, he said.
The spokesman said that police are committed to take such steps in future also against such anti-national and subversive elements to eradicate the roots of terrorism and maintain peace, security and tranquility in the valley.
Earlier this month, Police attached property worth lacs belonging to a terror handler based in Pakistan. It included 6 Kanals& 10 Marlas land worth lacs belonging to terror handlers based in Pakistan namely Adrees Ahmad Mir son of Shakar Din Mir son of resident of SingtungGowhallan Uri, District Baramulla.
