Doodpathri all set to welcome first snow fest cum job fair

To boost the winter tourism at the tourist destination Doodhpathri, the authorities in the Budgam district are going to conduct the first snow festival cum job fair on February 2nd next month at the Doodhpathri area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

 

 Deputy commissioner of Budgam district, Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, told Rising Kashmir that the district employment and counselling centre Budgam in collaboration with the district administration Budgam, is going to conduct a snow festival cum job fair which was likely to boost the tourism sector and create employment avenues as well.  

 

“The unemployed youth of Budgam district who are desirous to participate in this event are requested to register themselves on the departmental website. In this regard, the information of the snow festival cum job fair has been provided to the public domain across the district,” DC said.

 

He said that all the candidates who will register themselves are requested to bring along their CVs with them for an onspot recruitment .

He said job offer letters will also be provided to selected candidates during the festival.

 

“13 companies will be participating in this event wherein participating unemployed youth will be exposed to various job opportunities,” DC budgam said.

 

 

He said that the festival will include snow-related activities like snow skiing race on an ATV, snow biking, a sledge race on ponnywallas, a bicycle race, and cultural and sports activities that will be performed in this festival.

 

“All the departments will install their stalls during the festival.There will be proper snow clearing of the roads leading towards Doodhpathri,” Deputy commissioner said.

 

Adding that proper support will be provided to the Ponnywallas and vehicles that will play along the frozen area,he said.
