Srinagar, 13 Aug: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Sunday said that there is no need of any special pass or permit for individuals eager to attend upcoming 77th Independence Day celebrations at Bakshi Stadium where Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will unfurl tricolour on 15th Aug.
Talking to reporters on the side-lines of the Rehearsal event at Bakshi Stadium, Div Com said the Tiranga Yatras across Kashmir has witnessed active participation from the people, indicating their vibrant interest in celebrating the nation’s freedom.
This inclusive decision aims to encourage a widespread and enthusiastic involvement of citizens in the commemorative event. He assured that all requisite arrangements for the event have been meticulously finalized to ensure a seamless and vibrant celebration.
As the 77th Independence Day approaches, the Div Com emphasized the administration’s commitment to facilitating a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
“The open invitation extended to the public underscores the administration’s dedication to fostering a spirit of unity and collective celebration of the nation’s sovereignty,” he said.
The Divisional Commissioner further conveyed his optimism about the event’s success and encouraged residents of Srinagar to join in, invoking a sense of pride and patriotism as the nation commemorates its 77th year of independence.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier special passes were issued to people participating in the Independence Day celebrations in Srinagar.
