Kulgam admin conducts GLOF disaster mock exercise

Kulgam, Jul 04: The Department of DMRRR, in collaboration with JKSDMA and DDMA Kulgam, conducted a Physical Mock Exercise on GLOF Disaster in the districtThe exercise was held under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmad Giri (CEO DDMA) and attended by CEO ERO, Dr Aamir Ali. It was coordinated by Consultant DDMA Kulgam, Mohammad Hanan.All the concerned stakeholders attended the mock exercise. Various simulations and scenarios regarding GLOF were carried out by NDRF, SDRF, F&ES, Health Department. Emphasis was laid on rescue techniques and evacuation procedures during GLOF.The district administration Kulgam put all the necessary arrangements in place to make the mock exercise a successful event.
