Kupwara, Feb 14: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has taken a strict action against the stunt driving after a video on social media, showed a youth performing dangerous stunts on roads, putting his own life and the safety of others at risk.
The individual has been identified as Abid Ahmad Mir, a resident of Kralpora, Kupwara. Acting swiftly, police seized the vehicle involved under relevant sections of the law. Additionally, the driving license of the youth has been recommended for suspension. Traffic Police rural Kashmir said that such actions will not be tolerated, and strict measures will continue to be implemented to curb the menace of reckless driving. The department reiterated its commitment to ensuring road safety and urged parents to counsel their children about the risks associated with stunt driving.
“We have zero tolerance against dangerous driving. Such irresponsible behaviour endangers lives, and we will take strict action against violators,” said a SSP traffic rural Kashmir Ravinder Paul Singh.
The SSP Traffic rural Kashmir has also appealed to the public to report such incidents to help create safer roads across the region. The crackdown on stunt driving will continue as part of broader efforts to enhance road safety in Kashmir’s rural areas, the officer added.
