Baramulla, Oct 02: District Administration Baramulla allocated 5 marla land to landless beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in Baramulla.
The Additional District Development Commissioner, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, along with Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, handed over sanction orders for 5 marlas of land to five eligible beneficiaries in Baramulla as part of the PMAY-G Scheme 2023.
As outlined in the PMAY-G Scheme, individuals with J&K domicile who do not own family land or are not entitled to inherit 5 marla or more land fall under the scheme’s ambit.
After completing the transfer of land rights and other formalities, the Additional District Development Commissioner expressed joy and congratulated the beneficiaries on receiving the land documents.
Emphasizing the scheme’s benefits, the ADDC stated that this commendable effort aims to uplift and empower landless families. He highlighted that the step is expected not only to improve the living conditions of these five families but also to set an example of inclusive development for communities across the district.
Affirming the district administration’s commitment to implementing the PMAY-G Scheme for deserving beneficiaries at the grassroots level, the ADC mentioned that various cases are in the waiting list, which will be finalized after verification of credentials and other processes in line with the government guidelines.
