Srinagar, Feb 15: Colleges in Kashmir resumed their academic activities on Saturday, marking the end of the winter break and bringing a sense of vibrancy back to the region’s educational institutions.

College principals and faculty members were seen welcoming students at the entrances as they returned to their classes.
The Higher Education Department had announced the winter vacation for degree colleges in the winter zones of Kashmir and Jammu in the last week of December 2024.

In addition, all government and private schools in the winter zones of both Kashmir and Jammu divisions are scheduled to reopen on March 1.

In December 2024, the School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir had released a phased winter vacation schedule.

Students up to grade 5 began their winter vacation on December 10, 2024, and it will end on February 28, 2025. For students in grades 6 to 12, the winter break started on December 16, 2024, and will conclude on February 28.
