Ganderbal, July 05: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the Wangat area of Kangan, as a young girl lost her life after drowning in a stream on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as Naziyah, a 12-year-old resident of Baba Nagri Wangat, daughter of Imran Ahmad Raina.
According to locals, the unfortunate incident occurred when Naziyah accidentally slipped into the stream while playing near Wangat. Despite swift rescue efforts, the minor girl’s life could not be saved. Her lifeless body was promptly retrieved from the water and rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared her brought dead upon arrival, leaving the community devastated.
