Jammu, July 03: Scores of youth on Wednesday joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) under the leadership of Tejinder Pal Singh, District President of Jammu Urban JKNC.
This significant event marks yet another step towards strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and engaging with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the NC said in a statement issued here.
Singh warmly welcomed the new members into the party fold, expressing his delight at the increasing interest and support from the younger generation. “The youth are the backbone of our society, and their involvement is crucial for shaping a progressive future. I am thrilled to see so many young individuals joining our movement,” he stated.
In his address, Singh highlighted the surge in youth participation over the past month, noting that hundreds of young people have joined the JKNC through nearly 15 joining programs under his leadership. He said this growing trend reflects the party’s commitment to addressing the concerns and aspirations of the youth.
Tejinder accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of betraying the youth of the country, citing various recruitment scams in Jammu and Kashmir and issues with the NEET examination process across India. “The BJP has consistently failed to deliver on its promises to the youth. The recruitment scams in J&K and the NEET irregularities are just a few examples of their betrayal,” he asserted.
Singh said the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have high hopes from the National Conference, trusting the party to bring about meaningful change. “Our youth are looking towards us with great expectations, and we are committed to standing by them. If voted to power in the upcoming assembly polls, the National Conference will make every effort to fulfill their aspirations and work towards a brighter future for all,” he pledged.
The joining programme concluded on a positive note, with the newly inducted members expressing their enthusiasm and readiness to contribute to the party’s mission, the statement said, adding, “The growing youth support for the JKNC signifies renewed hope and confidence in the party’s vision and leadership.”
Munzamil Malik Provincial Secretary of Jammu YNC said that leadership continues to inspire and mobilise the youth, setting a strong foundation for the National Conference as it prepares for the forthcoming elections. The party remains dedicated to empowering the youth and addressing their issues with sincerity and determination.
On this occasion, prominent youth workers joined the National Conference were Nikil Bharti, Boby Kumar, Aditya Bhagat, Sadhansu and others.
