Kargil, Mar 03: Residents of the Sankoo zone of the Kargil district are facing a power outage following damage to the 66kV tower between Gramthang and Sankoo at Trespone. The outage, affecting crucial areas including Sankoo, Lankarchy, Barsoo, Thasgsm, and Panikhar, has disrupted daily life for many.
An official said that the Army has been swiftly mobilized to address the issue, with teams actively engaged in temporary restoration efforts. However, authorities warn that full restoration may take an additional two to three days to complete.
Residents are urged to cooperate with authorities during this challenging time and make necessary arrangements to mitigate the impact of the outage until the 66kV line is temporarily restored.
