Budgam, Dec 25: The Police on Sunday said that they have arrested a man for committing an unnatural sexual offence upon a minor boy in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official told the Rising Kashmir that on 24th December this month, the Police Station Chadoora received a written complaint from parents of a minor boy nearly 15 years of age stated that their son has been kidnapped by a 60-year-old man namely Mohammad Sidiq Sheikh son of Ali Mohammad Sheikh resident of Gogji Pathri Chadoora and had taken to Jammu where he committed an unnatural sexual offence upon him.
Upon this information, a case vide FIR No. 205/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation was initiated.
“During the course of the investigation, the medical examination of the victim was done and later he was shifted to Child Protection Unit Budgam,” Official said.
He said on Sunday) the accused was arrested from Railway Station Budgam and has been booked under POCSO Act, besides other sections of law.
The further investigation into the case is going on, he said.
