Ganderbal, Dec 14: Block Gund of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, witnessed a significant achievement in disbursing 555 cases to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awaz Jogna (PMAY) Scheme over the past two years.
According to details obtained by Rising Kashmir, spanning the years 2021-22 to 2023-24, a total of 268 beneficiaries have realized their dream of owning a pucca house, a testament to Block Gund’s steadfast commitment to addressing housing needs in the region.
A PMAY beneficiary from the Gund area expressed heartfelt gratitude to Government for the invaluable assistance that turned her dream of a permanent home into reality. “The dream of owning a house was fulfilled by Government. The PMAY Yojna financial assistance helped them to construct a home,” the beneficiary shared, appreciating PM Modi for his pro-poor policies.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Sheikh Arif,(JKAS) in conversation with Rising Kashmir, emphasized that achieving this milestone by December is a testament to their dedication in providing PMAY cases to beneficiaries. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made and gave assurance that all pending cases would be resolved in the upcoming period.
