Srinagar, Oct 12: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday convened a meeting with district presidents here to bolster its grassroots presence in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ashok Koul, the General Secretary (Org) of the J&K BJP, stressed the importance of grassroots leadership in connecting with the people and understanding their needs. He commended the dedication and hard work of the BJP district presidents in Kashmir and encouraged them to continue serving the people with unwavering commitment.
The meeting, as per the party’s statement issued here, served as a platform for discussions on various strategic and organisational matters aimed at advancing the party’s objectives in the region.
BJP’s Media & IT head J&K Manzoor Bhat, J&K Vice President Youth Wing Asim Ahmad, and District Incharge Youth Wing BJYM Srinagar were also present in the meeting.
A significant highlight of the day was the addition of numerous enthusiastic youths to the BJP, the party said, adding that these young individuals, driven by their passion for positive change and development, have chosen to align themselves with the BJP’s vision and goals.
Their entry into the party reflects the trust and confidence they have in the BJP’s ability to bring about meaningful change in the region, the statement said.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and strategies for addressing the diverse challenges and opportunities in Kashmir. The BJP district presidents shared their valuable insights on various issues and development initiatives, which will help shape the party’s future plans in the region.
“BJP in Jammu and Kashmir remains committed to promoting a progressive and inclusive agenda that focuses on good governance, economic development, and the welfare of all communities,” the party said, adding, “The addition of enthusiastic youth members and the commitment of the party’s leadership to work closely with the district presidents highlight the BJP’s determination to effectively serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
The BJP expressed gratitude to all those who have shown their support and trust in the party’s principles and vision. “The party continues its journey with the promise of progress, development, and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” it said.
