Jammu, Jan 2: In a unique initiative that blends personal health, environmental consciousness and community engagement, Rizwan Uddin, the Commissioner of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in Jammu, has been riding his bicycle to the workplace daily.
Covering the distance from his residence in Sainik Colony to the EPFO office on Railway Road, Rizwan’s commitment to “Health and Environment” has caught the attention of various organisations.
In the current era, where preserving the pristine beauty of hills is paramount, the PC Commissioner’s daily cycle commute serves as a symbol of personal responsibility and environmental consciousness. His concern goes beyond mere individual action; he has actively mobilised efforts by collaborating with prominent organisations like BSF, Air Force, universities, colleges, and the district administration.
Under his leadership, more than twenty cycle rallies have been organised in and around Gwalior, yielding visible results.
