Ganderbal, Mar 20: The Department of Dental Community Health Centre at Kullan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district celebrated World Oral Health Day at the Government Middle School Zirpora.
Under the supervision of the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kangan, the event aimed to spread awareness about the significance of maintaining good oral hygiene.
The focal theme of this year’s World Oral Health Day “A Happy Mouth Is… A Happy Body” set the tone for the enlightening session. Dr Arshid Sofi, along with a team of dental professionals and teaching staff, graced the occasion, engaging with a sizable gathering of enthusiastic students.
The program was designed to empower the students with essential knowledge regarding oral health care practices. Through interactive sessions, participants were acquainted with the importance of dental health, alongside practical demonstrations of proper brushing and cleaning techniques.
Dr Arshid Sofi elucidated the intricate relationship between oral health and overall well-being, underscoring the pivotal role of a balanced diet in sustaining optimum health and hygiene.
World Oral Health Day serves as an annual global platform to elevate consciousness surrounding oral health issues and underscore the criticality of oral hygiene practices.
As part of the initiative, complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste were distributed among the attendees, ensuring that the spirit of oral health advocacy extends beyond the confines of the event.
